Leonardo is a very handsome colt, born on July 5th, 2006, a full brother to Let’s Latte. He is registered and branded Oldenburg and is chestnut with two white socks - definitely one to watch in the future with some of the top bloodlines in the world, including Lord, Ramiro Z, Alme and Gotthard. He is very flashy, absolutely fearless and very intelligent.
He is also a very quick learner as we knew he would be as he is definitely the leader of our younger horses. Leo is now 16.2 hh at four years.
We are very proud of Leo as he took part last year in his first Dressage Test for Walk, Trot and his percentage score was 59.4! This was his first time at a show (the Quesnel Summer Classic 2009) and was only a month after he was started under saddle! He was very brave with all the other new horses around and it was the very first time he had been in an indoor arena. The judge commented that he had a great future in the dressage ring. He would also do very well in the hunter ring as he has great balance and rhythm.

He is in further training at Thunderbird Show Stables and this video was taken at Thunderbird the week of June 21st during training with Brent and Laura Balisky.
